What does the deodorant smell like?
Underhill is a scent inspired by the smells of traveling in nature. A mix of 14 ingredients, the fragrance is deep and complex with aromas of wild herbs such as Rosemary and Athelas, along with leather, pipe tobacco, several wood species, open air and a sweet scent of freshly poured (or spilled) ale.
Valley of Gold is the smell of wild gardens in blossom amidst woods; a place where rose, lavender, geranium, myrtle and broom flower grow freely alongside rosemary, honey bush and surrounding trees. This arrangement creates a balanced, floral, earthy smell, which combines 11 ingredients.

Why did you develop these new fragrances?
Our whole motivation for making this product was to introduce new, better smelling fragrant mixtures to a natural deodorant. The smells that normally accompany deodorants aren’t complex or interesting. These companies aren’t interested in making things interesting … they’re interested in hitting the largest market they can and generic ingredients and compositions accomplishes that. We wanted to bring the same attention to how our deodorant will smell that we would to a boutique cologne.
Conceptualizing smells is difficult. So with the help of our perfumist, we approached the development of Underhill and Valley of Gold through story-telling. Putting our heads in places that we want to be and creating a narrative that takes to different places and smells. It took a lot of work, 20 different prototypes between the two fragrances. But once we arrived … we were overwhelmed with the place we were able to arrive to.

What’s in the deodorant?
Paraben Free and Aluminum Free
Maranta Arundinacea Root (Arrowroot Powder), Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Stearyl Alcohol, Sodium Bicarbonate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Maltodextrin, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polyglycerol-3 Beewax, Mica, Jojoba Esters, Glyceryl Caprylate Glyceryl Undecylenate, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Tocopherol (Vitamin E).
Our scented deodorants include a proprietary blend of oils. Due to FDA recommendations, we use the term “fragrance” to refer to these oils.

How long does it last?

How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
